Another Regular Day

[Tuesday, 30 September 2015 --Osenase, Ghana 1100 GMT] — Our team is doing well while here in Ghana.  Each member has accepted his assignments with grace and determination. Each morning, Jeff Andler, Dave West, and I conduct several school assembly programs – each in separate and distinct villages around the area.  The schools have ranged, in size, from eighteen to nearly 1,000 students.  In every place the gospel message is preached with clarity and simplicity.  Day-by-day we are humbled, but not surprised, at the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in drawing individuals into relationship with Jesus Christ. Nightly, team members Craig...

Good Morning Osenase

[Sunday, 27 September 2015 --Osenase, Ghana] — Our entire family gathered for a cookout in our back yard. Enjoying a cooler afternoon on the deck while watching the kids laugh and bounce on the trampoline brought smiles to my face. The smells from the grill the, the sight of my family, and the wonder of home were, at once, both peaceful and precious. The Weekly Review

[Friday, 25 September 2015 --Asuom, Ghana] — It’s hard to believe that one week ago we were sitting in the airport lounge at JFK anticipating what the next week would hold.  Rarely are we able to know exactly what is going to transpire in the coming days.  The wait in the Delta lounge gave our team members ample time to reconnect and reminisce about our past adventures in Ghana. As I have previously blogged our flight to Ghana was uneventful and our arrival in the capital city of Accra was seamless.  After our traditional rounds of necessary stops in that city,...

The Hotel Ministry

[THURSDAY, 24 September 2015 --Asuom, Ghana] — We awoke this morning to a cool, clear day and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in our outside dining area.  The food continues to improve as Ernest (the chef) learns our tastes. This hotel is adequate and clean with a staff that is intent on making us comfortable which affords us with the ideal opportunity to express gratitude and generosity.  Their gracious attitudes and acts toward us inspire me to look for places and people with whom I can be gracious. I must take a moment to share with you a story from James last...

The Master of The Plantation

[Tuesday, 22 September 2015 --Asuom, Ghana] — The long, bumpy, and dusty roads that lead to our village assignments each day are challenging.  Often we wonder if our vehicles are going to make the trek but so far we have been able to negotiate these paths with seemingly little difficulty. Picture from March 2015 As reported yesterday one Rover’s broke it’s universal joint on Sunday night but was completely dependable on Tuesday morning for the numerous school visits we made.  Tuesday allowed us to present the Gospel message in different schools.  Because of the national holiday on...
