Some Things Never Change
[Monday, 21 September 2015 --Asuom, Ghana] — The weekend is behind us and through six separate ministry venues we have been able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with combined crowds of 2,550 individuals. Today all the schools are on holiday and thus prevent us from beginning our work on school campuses. Our Ministry in Ghana begins… Again.
[Asuom, Ghana] Our team (Jeff Andler, Craig Barker, Mark Chase, James McLean, David West, and myself) arrived safely in Accra on Saturday at 0700(GMT) 19 September. We thank God that our flight from JFK was uneventful. After the typical activities necessary on arrival day--like exchanging currency and market shopping for the foods and supplies we might need out in the field--we began our 125 mile journey to our project site. The roads were, as promised, very difficult and dusty. The ruts and holes in the road made for enjoyable travel and reminded us that we were certainly in West Africa....
September Newsletter; Going Back To Ghana
Team of six leaves for Africa on September 18. With the hectic days of Summer now in the past for most, our team of six is making final preparations for what promises to be another ministry project into the West African country of Ghana. Our national director Sammy Lartey informs us know that we will be conducting ministry an area of the country where we have never before traveled. Lessons From The Mountaintop
The little details are important! This past weekend I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at a mountaintop country club in North Carolina. We had a great time playing golf and just hanging out. It was the perfect opportunity to laugh, and listen, and learn. An important area of life is often outside the formal settings. The Surprises of Life
These past few days have given us much to consider. As we have been dealing with the surprise of our friend Cat, who delivered her baby at 27 weeks we all realize the uncertainties and challenges of day to day life.
