What does Ghana look like through the eyes of a Dentist?

I want to express that it is a privilege serving God in the jungles of Ghana, serving with the phenomenal people of Ghana, and working with some of the most inspiring groups of men who help us navigate through some of the most insane and remote areas on the planet. Your prayers are huge to us as we rely on them and Jesus to get us safely to projects GP systems have no clue exist. I want to share a few of the experiences of our past trip. As always flying into Ghana and seeing it from the air is...

Times of Change

There is something wonderful about the Fall.  The leaves are changing, the air is cooling, and the most wonderful time of the year is not far away!  I love the opportunity that this time of year gives us in sharing the Gospel with people.  It seems to be that as we witness the seasonal change we can more easily (and effectively) talk with people about the change that Jesus makes in the lives of those who love and surrender to Him. The Sunday I am preaching a message from Acts 22 entitled, "What is a Christian?"  Too many people believe...

The Final Word

[Frankfurt, Germany – 03 October, Monday, 1030 lt] The grace of God has proven sufficient, over and over again.  He has allowed us safety in travel, strength in our bodies, and solace in our souls.  He allowed us to preach the Gospel with passion and anointing.  He enabled us to see with His eyes the desperate plight of thousands who were without a personal relationship with Jesus.  He showed us again the huge difference between religion and relationship.  I am so thankful that we are not called to a religion but to a personal righteousness, made possible through the blood...

There’s A Truck IN The Road

[Accra, Ghana – 01 October, Saturday, 0930 GMT] The ministry venues are all finished.  Since leaving home on Tuesday, 13 September our teams have spoken in 116 separate venues and recorded 18,194 indicated, first-time decisions for Christ.  In addition we have established four new churches in areas where no there was no evangelical presence.  Thanks unto Jesus for His marvelous grace! After speaking to nine school groups on Friday, Jeff and I left Anyinam on Friday afternoon for our return trip to Accra.  The trip proved to be an adventure.  Only an hour into our journey we came upon a...

PART 2. The Change you can believe in (Is not always good)

[Anyinam, Ghana – 26 Sept. 1430lt, Monday] – In a recent blog I wrote about the change that we are seeing in the moral and religious climate in the schools here.  [click here to read] There is more change you can believe in. Recent reports indicate that young Muslim men are being paid to find and marry non-Muslim girls here in Ghana.  The funding, although denied by many, is apparently coming from the “faithful” in Saudi Arabia.  The idea is this: Young men should search out and find “non-believers” to wed and have children.  These men tell the wives that...

The Battleground Intensifies

[Anyinam, Ghana – 29Sept. Thursday, 1605 GMT] The warfare has intensified.  The dark forces of evil seem to have doubled down over the past three days.  Although God continues to prove faithful to us all, it has become more obvious than ever that we are in a huge spiritual battle. Here is the latest battle.  On Wednesday evening we encountered yet another problem with one of our vehicles.  While James and Nick were traveling to their project sites the Land Rover broke the rear axle.  This caused us to leave the Rover in a strange village overnight and hope for...
