Our ministry continues in Ghana

Our ministry continues in Ghana

[Anyinam, Ghana – 20 Sept. 1607lt] – The work here continues to be a challenge.  Our travels are difficult but God’s blessings are phenomenal. Thus far, with two full days of school and dental ministry, but only one night of film crusade, we have seen 3,182 indicated, first-time decisions for Christ!  To God be all the glory. Team members Dr. James McLean and Mr. Nick Ollila are doing a wonderful job in presenting the Gospel during the film crusades.  Both men have been in Ghana before and are completely clear in the presentation of the message of Jesus Christ.  Please...
We must never give up

We must never give up

[Anyinam, Ghana – 18 Sept. 1515 lt] – After our first night in Anyinam we know a bit more what to expect.  The guesthouse, while filled with promise upon our arrival, has proven to be just like all the rest.   The electricity has a mind of its’ own (viz. it operates when it chooses to) and the water for showers is coming in steady drips.  All in all it is a wonderful place. The morning ministry began at 0600h and concluded around 3pm (lt).  Today the dentist treated over 30 patients and our combined evangelistic teams presented the gospel to...
Arrival in Anyinam

Arrival in Anyinam

[Anyinam, Ghana – 18 Sept. 2155 lt] – Our team set out this afternoon for the 3.5-hour trip to the ministry area. The roads were rough and the terrain was difficult but we made it fine to our place of lodging. We will be staying at the Good Lady Guesthouse for the next two weeks. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We have running water that is sporadic at best. We had enough for a cold shower and are now getting ready for bed. Both the school projects and dental clinics begin at 0700-tomorrow morning. The projects will be conducted...
Pastor Sammy Lartey Honored

Pastor Sammy Lartey Honored

[Kpong, Ghana – 17 Sept. 1615 lt] – Today our team was blessed to be a part of a special day of thanksgiving and praise. It was a time to celebrate Pastor SammyLartey’s 63rd birthday, 27 years of ministry, and thanksgiving for the physical healing in Sammy’s body. A little more than a year ago Sammy suffered a debilitating stroke that had all of us concerned as to if he would ever be able conduct ministry again.  By God’s grace he has had a complete recovery and this has been a testimony to all, both in America and Ghana.  His...
Team Arrives Safely in Accra

Team Arrives Safely in Accra

[Accra, Ghana – 16 Sept. 0945 lt] – After a couple of days of travel, Jeff Andler and I have arrived in Ghana.  After a good night’s rest and a great breakfast we are waiting for the arrival of Drs. David Ney and James McLean.  Once these men clear customs we will climb into our Land Rovers and travel the three hours or so out to Akosombo for the first stage of our ministry project. The weather here is very pleasant.  The temperature this morning is a wonderful 80 degrees with virtually no humidity.  It would be a complete blessing...
Our ministry in Ghana begins …

Our ministry in Ghana begins …

The time of departure is at hand.  The months of preparation have reportedly made things ready for our arrival.  Although team member, Nick Olilla has been on the ground in Accra since Sunday, (9.11.11) Jeff Andler and I are leaving this afternoon at 4:20 on a flight to Frankfurt, Germany.  We will overnight in Germany and then connect to our flight to Accra on Thursday afternoon and are scheduled to arrive in Ghana that evening.  (Team members, Drs. David Ney and James McLean will depart on Thursday and arrive in Ghana on Friday morning.) Our project will be difficult but...
