The Best Is Yet To Be

https://vimeo.com/189454203 [Accra, Ghana] This most recent project is now in the books. We had a download meeting this morning [Saturday] will all our staff and everyone agreed that this was our best project to date. As Sammy Lartey said, “Each project is built upon the last, and this was our best ever.” “But” he added, “I am certain, the best is yet to be!” During our time in Ghana we were able to share the gospel with 53,076 people in 191 venues where 38,122 individuals indicated first-time decisions for Christ. This is without a doubt, the result of God’s grace...

Another Day in Paradise

[Prampram, Ghana] It’s Wednesday morning in Ghana and we are nearing the completion of another evangelistic project in this wonderful country. Our national team has done an incredible job in the preparation for and implementation of the work. The preparation has taken over six-months and the implementation has been difficult. These choice servants of the Lord have toiled under difficult conditions all without complaint. We Americans have complained about the ineffective air conditioners and extremely low water pressure in our hotel, but we learned this morning that our national team have been without any electricity or water for the past...

Will I Praise God For The Clouds?

[Prampram, Ghana] Following a highly productive week of front-line evangelistic ministry in the region around Ada, we left Saturday morning for the one and one-half hour westward journey to the town of Prampram along the Atlantic coastline of Ghana. The trip was easy enough. Upon our arrival at the Meridian Drive Hotel we settled into our assigned rooms only to discover that the electric power was very sporadic. The lights were on, then off, then on. The most noticeable difference was in the brightness of the lights and fans. It was frustrating for us, but something at the Ghanaians deal...

“One-A-Week Challenge” – Week 43

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” --John 14:27 niv Have you ever been persecuted for your faith? The Bible guarantees persecution for the child of God and it can manifest itself in many different ways and in varying degrees. You may have been laughed at, ridiculed, or derided in some fashion but have you ever been persecuted to the point of being prohibited from practicing and professing your faith? What about to the point...

Taking the Gospel Across the River

[Ada, Ghana] We have completed our first full week of ministry here in Ghana and we are thankful for all that God is doing. Thus far, we have shared the gospel in 93 venues where we have been face-to-face with over 27,000 individuals. This is a testimony to the grace and mercy of our heavenly Father. As you might have seen from our posted videos http://gemonline.org we have spent a great deal of this week along the coastline of Ghana. We have preached in schools and villages here as well as taking boats across to three islands in the Volta...

When you Pray for Rain

[Ada, Ghana] We awoke on Wednesday morning to very heavy rain, for which we were thankful.  Thankful that it settled the dust and cooled the air but it made our journey to our assignments more difficult.  Riding in vehicles without the conveniences of defoggers or air-conditioners made for a long morning. We were asked to be prepared for departure from our hotel this morning by 6:30 at the latest, but because of the weather we were delayed until nearly 8.  This was frustrating because we had asked our cook to have breakfast ready by 6, and when she discovered that...
