Leadership Matters

[ADA,GHANA] I remember asking all our readers to be praying for us? Are you doing this? There has been a constant thus far on the project and that is the opposition of the Enemy. Since our national team began the ministry on Saturday evening (10/15) we have encountered several inconveniences and reminders that we are in the battle for eternal things. After arriving here, we learned more about the battles that many of our national friends have been going through. Without revealing too much, just let me say that families and health issues are taking their toll on the hearts...

Team Arrives in Ghana

16OCTOBER 2016--[ADA,GHANA] After delays in both Raleigh and JFK our team arrived in Ghana and settled into our hotel in Accra. While Jeff and I attended the wedding of our National Director’s youngest daughter Priscilla in Tema, James, Craig, and Mark were able to rest from the long flight. Following the wedding, which was an incredible celebration of worship. The ceremony honored the parents, challenged the couple and exalted the Lord Jesus. “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” --Isaiah 40:31 nasb We live in a fast-paced society. Maybe you have had a particularly difficult day, week, or month. Someone reading this is struggling with family, friends, faith, finances or something...

“One-A-Week Challenge” – Week 41

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” --Hebrews 13:8 nasb John Kehoe writes: In my courses, I teach the Law of Constant Change as a fundamental law of our life that needs to be both understood and harnessed if we are to have a happy and successful life. The Law states that everything in our life is in constant change, constantly in the process of becoming something else. Nothing stays exactly as it is. Nothing. Movement and change constitute the reality of our being. Our finances, our friendships, our career possibilities, our life opportunities, our health, our...

“One-A-Week Challenge” – Week 40

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.” --Colossians 3:16a  nasb What does the word "home" mean to you?  What picture comes to mind when you hear that word?  Far too many people think of home as a house or a place to reside.  Home for me is a state of relationship more than a state of residence. The ancient proverb says, “Home is where the heart is.” My father, born in 1921, joined the United States Navy just shy of his seventeenth birthday.  He had been raised on a farm in North Carolina during the Great Depression and...
