Thursday Update

Our teams have completed our Thursday school ministries. As of noon (GMT) we have been able to share the Gospel message with total crowds of

62,976 individuals in
271 venues.

This is an amazing testimony to the greatness of God. So often we are interesting in knowing how many people “got saved” and I can honestly say that we do not know. I can tell you that so far, 45,125 people have indicated a decision to receive Christ, but that is not our responsibility! The work of salvation is all the work of God. All our team members can do is to be faithful to preach the Gospel. The command of scripture reminds and compels us:

“preach the word; be ready in season and out of season;
reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.
For the time is coming when people will not endure
sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves
teachers to suit their own passions,
and will turn away from listening to the truth …”
—2 Timothy 4:2-4 ESV

We are not alone in this work. God has gone before us and has brought us into places God has already prepared the soil. Here is a story Mark Chase shared this morning.

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only
in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
-Matthew 10:42

This morning I walked into this school. The children were loud and not listening. Then walked in Dora. She was like a fresh fragrant ointment. As she came in, I watched her move in the crowd. Organizing, caring. Loving those children with the gift of God. As I spoke the children listened attentively. When we prayed with them to make a decision for Jesus as Lord, Dora in the midst of all the children buried her face in humility and grace.

This one teacher changed the environment around her. Oh what one person filled with Jesus love and Spirit can do.

This is just another reminder that God has gone before us. Please pray for our film crusade teams tonight and schools on Friday. All of us here are grateful for your participation in the Gospel.

For the team … Roy
