The Home Stretch

I hope by now you have found our video journals and blogs on our website. To view them go to http://gemonline.org/video/

Thursday brought us our last school ministries for this project. Through noon today we have shared the gospel in 167 venues with a total audience of over 53,000 individuals where, by God’s amazing grace, 37,376 people openly indicated their decision to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This all is a testimony to the Wonderful Word of God …

“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” — Romans 14, 17-10:13 ESV

One of the most amazing things about the project was the excellent leadership our new director, Ebenezer Agbleze, provided to our national team. To a person, everyone involved with this project, American and Ghanaian alike has commented on the new attitude and atmosphere that Ebenezer brings to the work. I want to encourage all our friends to pray for him as spiritual attacks are sure to follow.

I am grateful for our new Executive Council comprised of Jacob Yakubu, Delanyo Dormevenu, John Amauley, and Samuel Tetteh. These are all choice servants of God and I believe they will ably guide us into the future.

Please pray for our team (Craig Barker, Mark Chase, Andy Poe and myself) as we set out for our 8-9 hour drive back to Accra, on some of the most perilous roads here, to connect on Saturday and Sunday for our flights back to the USA.

Thank you again for all your prayerful support in the harvest of the Gospel. We will continue to take the message of Jesus where others refuse to go.
