Team’s Safe Arrival in Akuse, Ghana!

Roy for BlogsAkuse, Ghana — Our team of our arrived safely in Accra on Saturday.  After an uneventful flight from JKF, Jeff Andler, James McLean, Andy Poe and I were met at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra by our national director, Dr. Sammy Lartey.  Within a few seconds our friendships were renewed and it seemed like only yesterday that we were here in country.

After lunch in Accra we made our way out to Akuse where we will spend the first week of our two-week project.  Our accommodations are completely adequate — clean, spacious, and cool!  The staff here is wonderful and gracious.  It is evident that the Lord has gone before us and prepared the way for our arrival.

Already this morning we have given Bibles to two of the hotel’s security staff.  While presenting them with the Bibles Jeff shared with them the Gospel and upon hearing the transforming message of Jesus both individuals prayed to receive Jesus Christ.  Again we are reminded, “Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Rom. 10:17)  Every person who helped supply these Bibles had an equal part in the harvest of these two souls.

As the chaos continues around the world it is good to know that the power of God continues to draw people to Himself.  Please keep praying for the work of the Gospel.
