Straight From My Heart…

RainThe Summer months are filled with opportunity.  Perhaps you have already enjoyed some time of rest and relaxation with your family and friends.

Here where I live we have been blessed by rain — lots of rain.  For people like me who enjoy playing golf this has been great because all of the area clubs are lush, plush, and green.

The other day our grandson asked me “Why is it raining so much?”  I knew he was frustrated and wanted to go outside and play, but I wanted to try and teach him a valuable lesson.  Explaining that we need rain for the vegetables to grow and water to drink he replied “It’s a good thing that it is raining!”

The Word of God reminds us in Leviticus 26:4  — “then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.”

This simple lesson reminded me that God is constantly working around us and providing for us everything we need.  He is a good and faithful One who has the very best for us all.

I hope that as you continue to enjoy your Summer you will look around and see the wonderful blessings of our Heavenly Father and remember to “Thank God for the Rain!” Until Jesus returns, I remain

Yours, in the fulfilling of the Great Commission,
