Prayer for Sammy Lartey – Update from Ghana, Africa
So many of you continue to ask about the present situation with our National Director, Rev. Dr. Sammy Lartey, in Ghana. Here is a series of text messages he and I exchanged yesterday:
Sammy: Dear Roy, thanks for asking loved ones to pray for me.Thanks also for asking Simon to be close to me. All is working out well. Rom 8:28.To God be the Glory for His prompt response to ur prayers that has brot back joy to my soul. 2nd COR.1:35. Continue in prayer for us. The battle is the Lord’s.
Roy: Everyone here is praying without ceasing. Everyday someone calls me to inquire about our beloved Sammy and Gabriel. Weeping endures but for the night… JOY. comes in the morning.
Sammy: Amen, our God is Good.He cares much when my heart is pained with no strength to pray. The Lord will lift me up to stand strong soon. He’s the Potter. I’m the clay.
While circumstances have not drastically improved, it does seem that the Lord’s grace is proving sufficient for brother Sammy. Please continue to keep this entire situation in your prayers. I will let you know more as soon as I know something.
Fulfilling the Great Commission,
