Both last month and this I have tried to bring attention to the Persecuted Church around the world. While I do not want to belabor the point, it is imperative that we are constantly aware of the constant battle against the children of God globally. The church, those who truly know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, is being oppressed in monumental ways.
Not since the days of Nero has the church been so maligned and misunderstood.
It is imperative to understand that all of this was announced by the Lord Jesus Himself. In the midst of one of Jesus’s great discourses (in Matthew 10:22-24) we read these sobering words:
“and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake.”
The persecution of the church is not political. It is not social, or cultural, or personal. It is spiritual! Since recorded history there has been a hatred of Jesus Christ by the forces of evil. That LIAR, the Devil, is now and has forever been engaged in a mobilized, demonized, organized assault against Jesus. The good news is that Jesus was then, is now, and forever shall be, victorious. Read these words from that same passage:
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say,
for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
We must never forget to pray for our brothers and sisters around the globe.
As we prepare for our next international project we need to know of your prayers.
Until Jesus returns, I remain
Yours, in the fulfilling of the Great Commission,
