Oswald Chambers said, “If human love does not carry a man beyond himself, it is not love. If love is always discreet, always wise, always sensible and calculating, never carried beyond itself, it is not love at all. It may be affection, it may be warmth of feeling, but it has not the true nature of love in it.” At Christmas time we are reminded of the great love with which God loved us. We are reminded that the love of God is far deeper, far wider, and broader than any love we can imagine. It was the supernatural love of God that invaded Bethlehem on that first Christmas morn.
It was love that watched Jesus grow from infancy through the trials of childhood, youth, and into adulthood on the divine road to Calvary and beyond. Perhaps there is no easier time for you to share the love of God with your friends than during the Christmas season.
