Leadership Matters

[ADA,GHANA] I remember asking all our readers to be praying for us? Are you doing this? There has been a constant thus far on the project and that is the opposition of the Enemy. Since our national team began the ministry on Saturday evening (10/15) we have encountered several inconveniences and reminders that we are in the battle for eternal things.

After arriving here, we learned more about the battles that many of our national friends have been going through. Without revealing too much, just let me say that families and health issues are taking their toll on the hearts and minds of several of our friends here. Please pray for God’s protection and provision to be realized by these choice servants of the Lord.

img_0241-jpgEach day in the schools we are reminded of the truth that leadership matters! In some of our schools the students are very unruly and disruptive. They lack the discipline of being able to follow instructions and are very talkative and disrespectful. When confronted with this, our team members have learned to utter a prayer to the Heavenly Father asking for His calming upon the place.

As our American team gathered one afternoon to talk about this, we all came to realize that in each of these disrespectful situations the common denominator is the fact that the Headmaster and teachers are all standing around in the back of the assembly– laughing and talking while we were sharing the gospel message. The students are nothing less than the example that has been set for them.

This reminded me that all of us are in some sort of leadership position and have the responsibility of leading in a way that is productive, positive, and possible. While on the ground here in West Africa our team has the awesome privilege of sharing Christ with people who have never before heard. We take this responsibility seriously and are trusting you to accept the responsibility of praying for us.

We have witnessed the power of God transcend cultural and religious barriers, but only as we fully surrendered to following the leadership of God. Through noon on Monday we have shared the message of Jesus Christ 41 different venues to an estimated audience of 11,171 individuals.

Please join us in praising God for all that He is doing here, and prayer that we will continue to follow His leadership with all our heart and mind. On behalf of everyone here, I want to say Thank-you for continuing to pray.

Blessings, Roy
