Wednesday morning was a great day for us here. We shared the Gospel message with a total audience this morning of 4,297 students in 25 schools today alone! It was a day filled with excitement.
The schools ranged from 1st to 12th grades which meant children between the ages of 6 and 19. It is always a precious reminder that kids are a gift from the Lord and they are precious in His sight. When asked about the little children, the Bibles gives us this narrative,
“One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” — Matthew 19:13-15 NLT
Far too often we completely forget about and ignore the little ones. I am thankful that our team here always includes these in the audiences of places we minister. I have to tell you that my biggest smiles come when I have the opportunity to share with these kids. More and more I am reminded that “Jesus loves the little children” and so should we!
I hope you will join me right now in thanking God for the children and thank Him for all who serve around the world as teachers. These underpaid and underappreciated servants deserve our gratitude.
We here all continue to be humbled and thankful for your prayers for us while in Ghana.
